Model Questions

How many Bigfoot models are there?

Eight core models: Single Rack, Single Rack PLUS, Double Rack, Double Rack PLUS, Double Rack XL, Side Operator, Side Operator XL and the Split-Apart Cubes system. Each is a starting point rather than a fixed product, since every system is built to order.

How do I choose between a Single Rack and a Double Rack?

Count the rack space your gear needs and the footprint you can live with. A Single Rack is one 19-inch bay and the most compact platform; a Double Rack puts two bays side by side in one chassis for broadcast control, multi-system integration and mobile studios.

What does PLUS add to a model?

An integrated expansion area beside the rack bay for drawers, a keyboard tray or accessories. Choose the standard model when footprint matters most and PLUS when you need storage and work surface alongside the rack.

Can any model be built at any rack height?

Yes. Any standard rack-unit height and depth, with threaded rails front and back as standard. Builds run from compact 10 to 14 RU streaming carts up to 20 RU and beyond for DIT and graphics work.

What holds the equipment in place while the cart moves?

The rack rails themselves, with lockable lids and panels closing the system for transport. Frames are extruded aluminium with composite panels, built to MIL-STD 810G construction, on heavy-duty locking casters.
