The story of Bigfoot Mobile Systems is one of engineering passion, real-world problem solving, and a refusal to settle for good enough. What began with one frustrated engineer and a broken AV cart has grown into a company serving some of the most demanding organizations in the world.
The First Bigfoot Cart
While doing contract maintenance for the Oakland Raiders and Pixar, Doug grows frustrated with the cheap AV carts being used for video equipment. He designs and builds the first Bigfoot — an all-in-one integrated mobile cart for the Raiders' coaching staff. A company is born.
The Digital Revolution
The RED camera revolution transforms film and commercial production. Bigfoot is positioned to fill the growing demand for on-set DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) systems. The company evolves from simple AV carts to fully integrated mobile production workstations.
Going Aluminum
Bigfoot transitions from wood-based construction to European-style extruded aluminum framing, creating lighter, more durable, and better-looking mobile systems. This engineering leap sets the standard for what becomes "Performance Furniture."
Enterprise Expansion
Bigfoot systems are deployed at LinkedIn, NJPAC with Panasonic, Miami University, and across education and corporate environments nationwide. The product line grows to include Double Rack, Side Operator, and custom configurations for every industry.
Streaming and Beyond
Twitch, Palo Alto Networks, Armijo High School, and dozens more. Bigfoot expands into streaming, education, cybersecurity, and government markets. Power-assisted caster systems and advanced monitor mounting are introduced.
The Elite Series
Cardone Ventures, Boeing, Tesla, and more marquee clients. The Elite series with lift-off lid design launches. Bigfoot is now serving 14 industry sectors with over 2,000 systems deployed worldwide.
The Next Chapter
In 2026, Bigfoot acquired a larger production facility to handle increasing demand across 14 industry sectors. With over 2,500 systems deployed worldwide, Doug and the team are scaling up to meet the future.
Building the Future
Launching New Production Facility
A larger purpose-built facility in Winters, CA to handle increasing demand. More floor space, more build bays, and room to grow into the next decade.
The Triple Rack
Three full 19" rack bays in a single mobile platform. Built for the largest broadcast and production operations that need maximum equipment capacity on the move.
IKAN Studio Rover
A complete mobile studio platform built in collaboration with IKAN. Self-contained production capability that rolls anywhere your content needs to go.
Southwest Airlines
Custom Split-Apart Cubes system designed for Southwest Airlines' operations. Modular design lets the system break down for transport and reassemble on site in minutes.
Double Rack XL
Completely redesigned for 2026 with updated frame geometry, improved cable routing, and new accessory mounting options. Our largest standard model, reimagined.
Aerospace & Defense
Mission-critical mobile workstations now deployed with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Honeywell Aerospace. Built for the most demanding environments in aerospace and defense.
